Keller Engineering is a multi-disciplinary engineering and building science firm that provides building and systems assessment and associated repair and renewal consulting services. Since the company’s formation in 1982, Keller Engineering has worked with a diverse range of clients across several markets including condominium, commercial, residential and public buildings.

We are looking for a dynamic, dedicated and hard-working individual to fill a Project Lead (Has P.Eng designation) position in our Ottawa Office.

Work Schedule: 37.5 hours per week

 Position Description

 A Project Lead must have a P.Eng designation and would be responsible for overseeing the execution of reserve fund studies, building condition assessments, and performance audits. They would stamp and take responsibility for the work while managing their own project team and ensuring the successful delivery of the products to the our clients. This role bridges high-level project planning and hands-on coordination, balancing technical expertise with leadership and client engagement.

 

Key Responsibilities

  1. Project Management:
    1. Lead multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to client specifications.
    2. Develop project scopes, timelines, and resource plans in collaboration with stakeholders.
    3. Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring quality assurance throughout. 
  1. Team Leadership:
    1. Assign tasks to project team members and oversee their performance.
    2. Mentor and support team members, fostering professional growth and development.
    3. Facilitate effective communication within the team and with other departments.
  1. Client Relations:
    1. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
    2. Ensure client satisfaction by understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions.
    3. Provide regular project updates and manage client expectations.
  1. Technical Oversight:
    1. Review and approve engineering reports.
    2. Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and best practices.
    3. Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges during project execution.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Building Science, or related field (P.Eng preferred). College diplomas with construction experience will be considered
  • Experience: 5+ years in engineering project management.
