Keller Engineering Company is a multi-disciplinary engineering and building science firm that provides building and systems assessment and associated repair and renewal consulting services. Since the company’s formation in 1982, Keller Engineering has worked with a diverse range of clients across several markets including condominium, commercial, residential and public buildings.
We are looking for a dynamic, dedicated and hard-working individual to fill a Branch Manager role in our Toronto & Area Office.
Applicants without past engineering consulting or relevant contracting experience will not be considered.
Position Summary:
The Branch Manager for the Toronto Region is responsible for leading all day-to-day operations for the Toronto branch office, overseeing multidisciplinary engineering and technical teams, and ensuring high-quality project delivery across all service lines. This role manages the branch’s financial performance, drives business development initiatives within the Toronto market. The Branch Manager is also actively involved in project execution as a Project Lead. This role reports to the Regional Director, GTA & Southern Ontario Offices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Delivery:
- Act as Project Lead on various projects, ensuring successful planning, execution, and delivery.
- Oversee multidisciplinary teams to ensure timelines, budgets, and quality expectations are consistently
achieved. - Provide technical guidance, review, and quality assurance across all project types including building
assessments, reserve fund studies, and related services.
- Business Development:
- The Branch Manager will work with the Marketing and Business Development Manager to establish a strategic
approach to market growth within Toronto region. - Identify opportunities for new work and maintain relationships with clients.
- Develop proposals for all projects, submitting them for review to theRegional Director, GTA & Southern
Ontario Offices - Represent the Toronto branch at industry events, client meetings, and community engagements to enhance Keller’s
market presence and reputation.
- The Branch Manager will work with the Marketing and Business Development Manager to establish a strategic
- Team Leadership:
- Provide leadership and oversight to all staff and activities within the Toronto branch office.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive environment to enhance employee engagement.
- Promote the company culture by aligning team priorities within the national standards and practices.
- Collaboration & Reporting:
- Work closely with the Regional Director, GTA & Southern Ontario Offices to address operational challenges, staffing needs, scheduling, and resource sharing.
- Participate in national initiatives, committees, and coordination activities supporting the company’s national standards.
- Provide regular updates on branch performance, financials, and business development to the Regional Director, GTA & Southern Ontario Offices.
- Team Development:
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, and retention efforts to build a balanced and capable team able to deliver on the
company’s national standards. - Support staff through coaching, mentorship, and clear performance expectations.
- Encourage and facilitate ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
- Serve as a mentor and role model, fostering a growth-oriented environment.

- Financial Performance:
- Manage the branch office’s P&L, ensuring financial stability, revenue growth, and margin performance.
- Develop and monitor the branch’s annual budget, ensuring alignment with company’s financial goals.
- Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and long-term growth.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Building Science, or a related field.
- Eng. or another professional designation is strongly preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years in building science, engineering, or a related discipline, with at least 3 years in a Project
Lead or equivalent leadership role. - Extensive experience in building assessments, reserve fund studies and/or depreciation reports, and capital
planning projects or related technical work. - Experience managing teams, budgets, and client relationships.

- Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent technical knowledge of building systems, codes, and assessment practices.
- Proficiency in project management tools and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and client service skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility.
Working Conditions:
- Primarily office-based, with regular site visits required.
- Occasional travel for client meetings or industry events.
- Flexible working hours to accommodate project and client demands.

Schedule / Hours:
- The Branch Manager’s schedule will generally align with the company’s standard hours of 8:00 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday.
- Due to the nature of the position, the Manager may occasionally be required to work additional hours, including evenings or weekends, to support critical projects, meet deadlines, or attend business events. These hours are considered part of the Manager’s regular duties.
